Tricia Ulricksen founded Tall Poppy Recruiting in 2022, but has been in talent acquisition and recruiting since 2002.

Tricia’s experience spans multiple industries and functions, working across borders, with all levels of personnel from support staff to the C-Suite and Board. Her direct experience in talent acquisition and support roles gives Trish personal insight into the skill set and experiences to recruit the right talent.

Prior to starting Tall Poppy Recruiting, Trish was in Talent Acquisition with a large, Private Equity firm (TPG) and Global Executive Search firm (Spencer Stuart). In these roles she supported Talent Acquisition leaders in developing and implementing processes and systems, managing searches, and sourcing and attracting senior talent. Earlier experience includes administrative manager and project coordinator for retained executive search firms specializing in board director, human resources, life sciences, and technology searches; EA to the CEO of a $1b+ beauty retailer; EA to the CFO, CHRO and Finance team of a logistics and package carrier; Associate for a global management consulting firm; and administrator for a small investment banking firm.

Trish enjoys her job immensely, but in her spare time likes hiking, glamping, reading (and audiobooks), cooking, and spending quality time with her Chief Activity Officer, a 4 year old German Shepherd named Hera.
